Concerned Citizen’s meeting to learn new and current status of not only the fire (subsurface smoldering event or SSE) in the south quarry of the Bridgeton Landfill, but the status of inputting a barrier between the fire and the nuclear waste in the West Lake Landfill. The Community heard from Mr. Diedrich from Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) about Sheltering in Place if there is an incident at the landfill and that they are working on the evacuation plan in case it is needed.
