At around 9:30 am , a citizen posted on the West Lake Landfill Facebook page the three photo’s below and a message that she had contacted 911 to report the smoke coming out of the landfill on the southwestern edge of the South Quarry of the Bridgeton Landfill.
Fire, EMS, Hazmat, Asst. Fire Chief Matt LaVanchy, are all on scene. Also State Rep. Bill Otto is on site. DNR and EAP are testing the air. We will post updates as we are notified of them.
