PLEASE REPORT THE ODOR!!!! WE CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH….Odor Alert — Jan. 8, 2014 — Bridgeton Landfill advised the department that they are experiencing issues with the facility’s flare system  and the VOC’s [benezene and othes] are not being burned off but released into the air.

 Odors are currently being detected off-site in multiple muncipalites.

Bridgeton Landfill staff are working to return the flare system to full operational status………………let the DNR know if you are experiencing the odor, let them know if it is making you sick!!!!

If you are experencing headaches, breathing issues or any symptom from breathing this in; burning eyes, nose, etc; this is a safety issue. Please contact a Healthcare Professional if you have concerns about the symptoms you are experiencing.

Please contact the below to tell them of your concerns and demand action be taken to move people away from the odors until Republic fixes the issue!
